All time and almost every time winner Sir Terry Wogan, has fought and won the much prized C4 slot that will be left vacant later this month when Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan move on to join UKTV. Sir Terry is to host a new daily quiz programme called WOGAN'S TOTAL RECALL starting at 5.00pm on August 25th. It will feature a series of general knowledge questions - some of which have the same answers. Three contestants will have to use their memories to remember the answers from previous rounds to go on to win a cash prize. Jack and the Beanstalk for grown ups and not so grown ups has received rave reviews for the Spectrum Theatre Company all year in London, and now it's got a slot in the Edinburgh Festival. When the butcher offers Jack five magic beans (those attending this wacky performance will be guessing which flavour Jelly Belly jelly bean carries the most magic for them) it leads to a world of fairies, treasures and all the rest. Accompanied by an enchanting musical score and performed by a cast of two, Jack and the Beanstalk brings together storytelling, humour and music in a world where nothing is quite what it seems... Tuesday 19th and Saturday 23rd for those of you attending this fantastic annual culturefest.

| WALKING CHASE HOSPICE |
14th August 2008 |
|
Next Sunday (August 17) is a big day for CHASE Hospice. They are holding their annual London Bridges Walk which starts at the Tower of London and weaves its way over 9 of the London Bridges. Once participants arrive at the Brit Oval, where the walk ends, they can watch a one day cricket game between Surrey CCC and Northants CCC. They will have their own special area of the OCS Stand, only open to walkers. Not that there would be much room for anyone else since there'll be 600 walkers this year! For those wondering about the link between CHASE and cricket - well it's Ben Hollioake. Ben was an England and Surrey cricketer, the youngest England debutant since 1949 and voted Young Cricketer of the Year. In 2002, he was killed in a road accident aged just 24. The Ben Hollioake Fund was set up in his memory and is linked to the hospice. At this time of the year it is impossible not to dwell on the loss to national and indeed the international cricket scene when Ben died. Good luck to all the walkers on Sunday - and enjoy your Jelly Belly jelly beans. We hope they give you that extra burst of energy that you'll need!

| GOOD LUCK SUE |

While some are doing remarkable things at the Olympics, others are slumped in front of the tele marvelling at the ability of humans to be superhuman. And then yet others are actually on their bike today doing something so special and amazing, we can only wonder at their courage. Sue Eyles lost her sight just 3 years ago but today at the age of 45 she is trying to overcome this "life setback" and has entered the London Triathalon challenge. Says Sue: "Like many attempting a triathalon for the first time, I have had no experience of swimming in the open waters and that will be a huge psychological and physical hurdle for me. The London Triathalon that I am undertaking is the Olympic distance course. It comprises a 1500m open water swim followed by a 40k bike ride, finishing with a 10k run. Many triathalon’s are a lot less challenging than that. Nutrition wise I’ve been doing the usual carbo loading and watching what I eat to get the balance right between fats, proteins and hydration. Sport Beans have made a massive difference in that they help me focus on and monitor my energy levels so much more easily. I know I need to be at a certain peak point when I embark on a work-out and then as it progresses I can fuel up when needed. They are convenient, very precise and there are none of the digestion problems that are associated with gels. They taste good too. Sport Beans definitely give me that necessary extra boost of energy when I most need it, and it’s good to be able to rely on that. Good luck Sue and we hope the Jelly Belly Sport Beans will make the difference between focus and best-focus!

opening to any Olympic games EVER! If there were gold medals for opening ceremonies then Bejing would certainly win a treble. It really does seem impossible to imagine that anything quite like that could be bettered. Every moment was synchronised with the next and held over 4 billion people enthralled. A world winner. Harmony was the theme - let's hope it prevails for the next two weeks and that the numerology combination - it started at 8.00pm on the 8th day of the 8th month in 2008 - carries the best of luck for everyone. Jelly Belly recipe to sum up the Bejing 2008 Olympic Games so far : 1 Top Banana + 1 Sizzling Cinnamon + 1 Jalapeòo + 1 Strawberry Daiquiri + Piòa Colada = Taste Explosion !

| Our favourite comedy act .... |
6th August 2008 |
|
THE IDIOTS OF ANTS is going to be scaling the heights at the 2008 Edinburgh Festival again this year. Not just because Jelly Belly will be encouraging the brightest and the best to attend their shows (although this will have something to do with it) but because we believe they are the funniest act in town and that they are going to have everyone laughing for a very long time. Check out this recent review: "When this Londonista saw sketch combo Idiots of Ants a few months ago, he was howling with laughter. ....if you like your comedy high-energy, intelligent and silly, you'll do well to pay them a visit. Idiots of Ants will be performing at the Pleasance Beside at 6:20pm until the 25th August (not 11th or 18th). Be there! And if you're hanging out with the guys they may even give you some Jelly Belly Click on the image for their site.
'Very slick and very funny'...'frankly, astonishing.'
Time Out
'An astonishing hit rate...Everything is executed with verve...Not sick, dark or fashionably twisted, just very, very funny...
Laugh? I even put my pen down to applaud'.
